Upsets in District 8 Girl’s Basketball Tournament as title game features 3 vs. 4 seeds

MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) – The District 8 Girl’s Basketball title game Saturday night will feature the three and four seeds, as TGU is set to face off with Lewis & Clark-Berthold.

The No. 1 and 2 seeds, Our Redeemer’s and Surrey, will play earlier in the day in the region qualifier.

Our Redeemer’s won their quarterfinal game Thursday against Harvey-Wells County but lost Friday night to the Bombers. Surrey lost in the quarterfinals to Bishop Ryan, but rebounded in the knockout round, defeating Velva.

The Titans and Bombers clinched regional spots but a win in the title game could impact seeding.

The winner of the ORCS-Surrey game, and the winner of Bishop Ryan-MLS, will get the other two regional spots.

Game times Saturday at the Minot Auditorium:

4:30 p.m. Surrey vs. ORCS (region qualifier)

20 minutes after: Bishop Ryan vs. MLS (region qualifier)

20 minutes after: L&C Berthold vs. TGU (district title)
