Holly Willoughby now ‘in the running for US TV jobs’ after quitting This Morning

Holly Willoughby made her big comeback this year after quitting This Morning in 2023, and her debut on the new season of Dancing On Ice has been a huge success. Now it has been suggested that she could seek job opportunities in the USA, promoting her wellness brand Wylde Moon to a wider audience at the same time.

A source reportedly told The Sun: “Holly’s a free agent and for the first time in years she’s free to be courted by these huge streaming platforms. A number of US networks and production companies have been interested in her for a while and she’s caught the attention of some major brands.”

The source suggested that her chances in showbiz are better than ever, declaring: “She has true star pulling power and as well as being glamorous she is a polished professional in front of the camera. It’s an exciting time in her career.” Meanwhile, Holly’s Wylde Moon brand has been compared to American actress Gwyneth Paltrow‘s Goop, meaning that if she breaks the USA, she could introduce herself to Gwyneth’s audience.

The source added: “Holly has made it no secret that she is following the Gwyneth Paltrow brand model. Launching herself Stateside could make those dreams a reality.” Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Holly Willoughby for comment.

The news of her reportedly chasing the American Dream came after it was announced that she’s in the running to present a new Netflix show. The proposed jungle-based reality show will invite celebrity contestants to try their luck alongside survival expert Bear Grylls.

A source told the same publication: “‘A group of celebrities will be put into a jungle where they will have to tackle a series of challenges.

“If they lose, they’ll have to pit their wits against Bear, who will be hunting them down.”

They added that Bear is “totally on board”, leaving the production team to convince Holly to be the show’s new host.

It has been suggested that she will be “carefully cherry-picking” any job offers that come her way, following her triumphant return to Dancing On Ice.

She’s received a warm welcome back from fans, who have praised her chemistry with old friend and co-star Stephen Mulhern.

A Place in the Sun‘s Laura Hamilton, who once worked with Holly back in the days when she was an assistant floor manager for her, has also recently said that it’s “brilliant” to see her back on TV.

With plenty of support building for her, there are said to be high hopes behind the scenes that she can juggle commitments on both British and American TV shows in the future.

Meanwhile, fans are still waiting to hear if and when there will be a regular presenting duo on This Morning to replace the previous line-up of Holly and Phillip Schofield.

Both left the show behind last year, and there had been a series of regularly rotating presenters taking their spaces on the sofa, leading to some fans “begging” for a duo to be decided on. Producers are said to have set their sights on Sian Welby as a replacement for Holly.

Dancing On Ice returns to the nation’s TV screens this Sunday at 6:20pm on ITV1.
